The Canadian province of Alberta has revealed two new immigration streams, including its anticipated Express Entry-linked stream. Both programs were originally scheduled for January, but the Alberta Immigration Nominee Program (AINP) has so far postponed its introduction.
The creation of a dedicated Express Express entry will now allow Alberta to invite Federal Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination.
Alberta has published the first details of the draws made through its Express Express component since its introduction in June.
Since then seven draws have been made. On July 6, 155 Notification of Interest (NOI) were sent to candidates with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) program with a score as low as 302.
The Alberta Express Entry Program allows the Alberta Nominee Program for Immigrants (AINP) to search the Federal Express Entry system for applicants who meet the eligibility criteria of the component and invite them to apply for permanent residency. the province.
The Express Entry system manages the pool of candidates for the three categories of highly qualified federal economic immigration in Canada:
- Federal Skilled Worker Class
- Federal Skilled Trades Category
- Canadian Experience Class
CRS scores as low as 301
In the seven random draws conducted to date under the Alberta Express Entry Stream program, selected candidates achieved CRS scores as low as 301.
|Draw Date||NOIs Issued||Minimum CRS score|
|July 6, 2018||155||302|
|July 26, 2018||67||302|
|August 23, 2018||24||312|
|September 14, 2018||152||301|
|October 10, 2018||47||319|
|October 16, 2018||94||304|
|November 6, 2018||57||302|
This was the case in a draw that took place on September 14th, which brought together a total of 152 express entry candidates for a provincial nomination.
With the additional 600 CRS points awarded to a provincial application, a CRS score of 301 would increase to 901.
This revised score would be more than sufficient to obtain an invitation to apply for permanent residence in Canada through Express Entry. The lowest score achieved by the Express Entry system in 2018 was 439.
