3,900 candidates receive ITA for permanent residence in Latest draw on 3rd October. Canadian immigration authorities matched the largest 2018 Express Entry draw by sending 3,900 invitations to apply (ITA) to applicants from all programs. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking Score is 445. Four points more than the previous draw for all the programs.

The invitation was the third Express Entry draw in three weeks and brands returned to 3,900 invitations, or ITAs, for all programs, the highest number ever awarded in 2018. Candidates are classified according to their Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS), which awards points based on factors, work experience, education, age and proficiency in English. or French, the two official languages ​​of Canada.

This year, IRCC introduced large and standardized draws, which gradually increased throughout the year to reach the current maximum of 3,900 ITA. IRCC established a base of 2750 ITA for the first two draws in 2018, then increased steadily in increments of 250 or 500 every eight weeks or so, to reach 3900 ITA on 5 September. The Express Entry draw of 19 September, when the draw was reduced to 3,500, was the only series of invitations for all programs to deviate from this trend.


IRCC has published a total of 66,400 ITAs in 21 draws in 2018. Under its Multi-Year Immigration Levels Plan, the Government of Canada has a target of 74,900 new admissions for 2018 and 81,400 for 2019 through the Federal Skilled Worker Class, the Federal Skilled Trades Class and the Canadian Experience Class.
