More Canadian universities have allowed international students to be accepted by

Universities and colleges are facing a decline in foreign enrollment and a rise in national enrollment.

Canada has revised its list of licenced Designated Learning Institutions (DLIs) that are currently authorized during the COVID-19 pandemic to accept foreign students.

A DLI is a kindergarten, college or university that is licenced to host foreign students. In order to curb the spread of COVID-19, Canada had earlier imposed travel restrictions on non-essential travel.

New foreign students were first included in the travel restrictions. They were only permitted to travel to Canada if they had a study permit or permission given on or before March 18.

Recently, however, Canada has begun to relax restrictions to allow more foreign students in the country to pursue their education.

Students who are enrolled in these licenced DLIs are excluded from the travel restrictions of Canada and are likely to be granted entry to Canada upon arrival by a border official.

Several famous Ontario-based universities, such as the University of Waterloo, the University of Ryerson, the University of OCAD and Windsor University, have been added.

All individuals entering Canada are required by law to quarantine themselves for 14 days upon entry, including foreign students. This suggests at all times that you should stay indoors.

Furthermore, travelers to Canada are required to install the ArriveCAN mobile application, especially by air. You will be asked to apply your travel and contact details, your quarantine schedule, as well as a regular self-assessment of COVID-19 symptoms.

Where you expect to quarantine, and how you plan to procure the required things, such as food and medication, are part of a quarantine plan.
